Player Agreement
Thank you for being a member of our community. This is your one-stop shop for learning all you need to know. Understanding a few simple paragraphs will make this a good experience for everyone involved.
All of these turms are expected to be read, understood, and agreed to by you. Ignorance of the turms will not be accepted as an excuse. The staff members have the final say in all matters and are not obliged to give reasons for their decisions.
Importent information.
- When interacting with Game Staff, please remember that they are people just like you. They deserve the same level of respect and empathy that you would give anyone else. For example, if you are upset about an action that a staff member has made, please remember that they are doing their best to keep the game fun for everyone. Instead of getting angry, try to explain your point of view calmly and respectfully.
- Please do not encourage other people to deliberately break rules within this game. If caught doing so, you will receive the same punishment as the other person. For example, if another player is repeatedly breaking the rules and you encourage them to continue doing so, you will receive the same punishment as that player if they are caught.
- By playing this game, you may potentially be subject to unforeseen circumstances, so be prepared for anything. You bear all responsibility for the consequences that may result from you downloading and playing this game. This is to say that the Final Hour staff are not required to compensate you for any actions of other players and that - while we will punish players for wrong doing - we cannot nor will not hold their actions responsable.
- These turms are not flawless. There are cases where they are not applicable, and cases where they do not encompass the need for actions to be taken. These matters will be addressed by a staff member in the moment at their discretion. For example, a staff member may choose to overlook a rule if they feel that it is not being broken maliciously or that the situation warrants it.
- Keep in mind that if staff members are required to take action, they will always analyze the specific circumstances in order to identify the best course of action for the situation. Please be aware that staff members reserve the right to take actions based purely on their own judgment, regardless of whether any rules or standards are in place. For example, if a staff member believes that a player is behaving in a way that is harmful to the game, they may take action against that player, even if there are no specific rules against that behavior.
- Always Remember that although "tells" provide a more discreet means of communication between two individuals without cluttering up the public chat, they are not equivalent to private messages. In Final Hour, tells are logged and accessible to moderators for moderation purposes. Moderators may access and review tells when there is a reason to , to enforce the rules and maintain a safe environment.
Rules (in no specific order).
- While engaging in a civil debate is fine, it is important to remember to avoid name-calling and personal attacks. If the individual(s) you're targeting is alright with you using them in jest, they can be used in good humor.
- Impersonating members of our community, including staff members, is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, creating an account that imitates or attempts to impersonate another user.
- Do not be a spammer. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Excessively causing messages to be sent (I.E. repeatedly chatting unnecesarily or creating and destroying a match multiple times in close succession)
- Sending messages containing gibberish, screenreader crashcodes or nonsensical messages.
- Publicly sharing copyrighted materials such as games and cracked software is not allowed on this game. This includes sharing links to illegal downloads.
- Do not link to websites that engage in fraudulent or malicious activities, such as those that attempt to steal personal information or spread malware. For example, do not share links to phishing websites that masquerade as legitimate login pages in an attempt to steal user credentials.
- Do not attempt to circumvent any bans or mutes by any means. This includes, but is not limited to, using another account or device to bypass the ban or mute, or sharing account information with someone who is banned or muted.
- People are allowed to swear if they wish to do so, but we absolutely prohibit any form of hate speech. This encompasses all forms of racist, sexist, or derogatory language. For example, using terms like "bitch" or "slut" to describe women is not allowed. However, jokes using these terms are permitted as long as the intended recipient(s) accepts them.
- Sharing your account information with other people is not allowed. This includes sharing your login credentials or giving someone else access to your account remotely.
- Do not share anything which could potentially invade anyone's sense of privacy. This includes personal information, private conversations, or anything else they wouldn't want made public. An example of this would be sharing someone's phone number without their permission.
- In this community, people come from many generations and we do not place anyone down on the basis of age. Please try not to make negative assumptions about other players simply based on how old they are. For example, just because someone is younger than you doesn't mean they're inexperienced or ignorant.
- Please do not use this game as a way to conduct any sort of real world trade, either physical or digital. An example of this would be if you were to try and sell in-game items or accounts for real world currency.
- Harassment is not allowed in this game, with any kind of action whether overt or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, making lewd or sexual comments, making racist or sexist remarks, and repeatedly sending unwanted messages.
- You are not allowed to threaten other players with DDoS, Death, DoX, or other malicious threats.
- Cheating software or software that automatically control your game or automate actions is strictly prohibited. Only human input is allowed.
- If you discover a bug or a glitch, you must report it to staff members. It is strictly prohibited to not report a bug or to use a bug or a glitch in the game to gain an unfair advantage. For example, if you find a bug that allows you to fly in the game, you should report it to a staff member. Using this bug to fly around the map would give you an unfair advantage over other players, who would not be able to do the same.
- Sending any text that could crash a screen reader, text-to-speech engine, or any other accessibility technology is not allowed.
Proper methods for submitting game feedback, player complaints, and bug reports.
- Bug reports, player reports, and game feedback should all be sent as tickets. Talking about a player report in public chat invites drama with the reported player or others who support them in public chat (which we do want to keep peace at). If we discover that you did this on purpose, you may face disciplinary punishment, depending on how disruptive you were to the game. Sending bug reports in public chat is nearly always grounds for disciplinary action because it informs all players on how to exploit that bug.
- As previously stated, game feedback should always be sent as tickets. your feedback should be well-thought-out, and you should be willing to engage in discussion about the input you offer, as well as being alright with outright rejection of your suggestion. We, as contributors, have our own vision for this game, thus we retain the right to tweak or disregard your feedback if we disagree with it.
- It's also worth noting that this is a free-to-play game. We are not being paid in any way to always uphold your input, no matter how important it may seem to you. Some elements may make the game too simple for others or too difficult for you, and you have the right to provide appropriate criticism. However, if we reject your input, that should be the end of the matter. You are not to continue pressing for your input to be accepted, especially in public chat or in ways that disrupt the game. If you press for feedback in disruptive ways, you may face disciplinary action.
Final words.
By playing the game, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old (or have received parental or guardian consent to participate). You thus reaffirm your agreement with each of the sentences mentioned above.
